2024/25 in Review: Progress, Projects and What’s Next

Looking Back, Moving Forward: A Year of Growth and Great Projects

As the 2024/25 financial year wraps up, Dewick & Associates is taking a moment to reflect on a busy and rewarding year. As trusted construction documentation specialists, we’ve delivered clear, compliant, and high-quality documentation across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Canada.

Highlights from the Year

This year, we have worked on a wide range of projects across the commercial, health, industrial, education, and defence sectors. Whether navigating complex briefs, meeting tight deadlines, or delivering custom solutions, our team rose to the challenge every time. A few stand-out projects included:

SA – Yitpi Yartapuultiku Cultural Centre, SA
More than just a building, this cultural centre was shaped through a genuine co-design process with local Aboriginal Custodians. The result is a space dedicated to sharing, preserving, and deepening understanding of Aboriginal culture and history.

Dewick & Associates supported builder Sarah with detailed Building Handover Manuals, helping ensure the facility is maintained to the highest standard. We’re proud to have played a part in bringing this meaningful community project to life. Read more about our contribution.

VIC- St.Germain Central, Clyde North – We recently partnered with Hutchinson Builders to deliver Building Handover Manuals for St.Germain Central—a dynamic new development that brings shopping, healthcare, and lifestyle together in one community hub. Our manuals support long-term maintenance and smooth operation of the facility, helping to protect this important investment and ensure it serves the local community for years to come. Read about our work on this project.

UK – Southampton FC – Knightwood Lounge & The Dell Bar & Kitchen – To enhance the matchday experience, Southampton Football Club have launched two new hospitality spaces – the premium Knightwood Lounge and the relaxed Dell Bar & Kitchen. These venues offer fans and guests an elevated experience on game days and beyond.

We supported the project by delivering a clear, practical Building Handover Manual to guide ongoing maintenance and ensure the facilities perform as intended over time. Read more about our role.

Canada- New Fort St James Health Centre, BC – This $158 million redevelopment will deliver improved healthcare to Fort St. James and surrounding First Nations communities. The new facility—three times the size of the original—includes a primary care centre and a modern emergency department, designed to provide a more healing and culturally-safe environment.

We worked with mechanical contractor Pitt Meadows to produce Mechanical Services O&M Manuals, supporting long-term performance and a smooth handover. Read more about the project and our role.

Strengthening Our Team and Services

This year, we welcomed new team members and recognised the evolving roles within our business.

Our Client CoordinatorsKevin, Alexandra, Fiona, and Dane have each played a key role in managing project timelines and communication. Their work helps projects run smoothly and keeps clients in the loop from start to finish. Check out their profiles.

Behind the scenes, our Technical Writers continued to transform complex engineering and construction information into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that meets industry standards and supports smooth project handovers. We’re also excited to have welcomed Anna and Katie to this team. You will see more of them in the next half of this year!

nucleus – The D&A project Portal

The functionality of nucleus has been expanded to include client-side quoting and project management features, simplifying the outsourcing process for clients. We are able to provide clients with real-time quotes, transparent project tracking, and streamlined communication, nucleus has enhanced efficiency, reduced turnaround times, and improved overall client satisfaction.

Relationships Matter

We believe strong client relationships are at the heart of every successful business. We take pride not only in delivering high-quality construction documentation, but also in the trust and connection we build with the people we work with.

Over the past year, our Client Coordinator team has continued to strengthen relationships with our long-term clients whilst also welcoming new ones, many of whom came to us through referrals and industry connections. That word-of-mouth support means a lot, and we’re grateful for the continued trust.

One of established clients summed up the value of working with us:

“Dewick & Associates efficiently assisted our team collaboratively in collating, structuring, and integrating relevant documentation to ensure the project handover operation and maintenance manuals were accurate, clear, and easy to use. They were responsive, professional, and a great support to SARAH in meeting the project goals and required timelines.” – Alfonso Longobardi – SARAH

Looking Ahead

As we move into the new financial year, Dewick & Associates’ mission remains the same: to be the documentation partner of choice for the construction and engineering industries.  But how we deliver on that mission continues to evolve. In the year ahead, we’re focusing on:

  • Expanding our presence further in Western Australia and the UK.
  • Enhancing internal systems and team development, with a continued focus on sustainability and innovation.
  • Exploring new service areas to better support our clients across the full life-cycle of their projects.

We remain committed to keeping ourselves educated on the shifts shaping our industry, whether it’s the increasing push for digitisation, regulatory changes, or the growing emphasis on sustainable construction.
