DEWICK & ASSOCIATES NEWS Q3: OCTOBER 2026

At the Heart of D&A: Supporting Successful Project Delivery ⭐

Supporting successful project delivery is at the heart of everything we do at Dewick & Associates. From the early stages of construction through to commissioning, handover and ongoing building operations, our goal is to help clients deliver complete, accurate and compliant construction documentation that adds value well beyond project completion.

Over the past quarter, we’ve continued to partner with builders, contractors and consultants across a diverse range of projects, providing the expertise and coordination needed to streamline documentation, reduce project risk and support smooth handovers. By working collaboratively throughout the construction lifecycle, we help ensure critical project information is organised, reviewed and delivered when it’s needed most.

In this edition, we’re exploring why construction documentation should begin well before practical completion and how taking a proactive approach can improve project outcomes for everyone involved. We’re also sharing some of our latest project case studies, company updates and industry insights from across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Canada.

Thank you for your continued support. We hope you enjoy this edition and find the insights valuable for your projects.

If there’s a challenge you’re facing, a topic you’d like us to write about, or you’re curious about how our approach could support your next project, we’d love to hear from you.

Technical Note: Commissioning Plans.

A successful building handover starts long before the keys are handed over.
A well-structured Commissioning Plan brings clarity to the commissioning process, aligning contractors, owners and project teams while setting out how building services will be tested, verified and documented throughout the project.

Our Technical Note explores:
🗹 The purpose of a Commissioning Plan.
🗹 What should be included.
🗹 How it supports a smoother handover.
🗹 The standards and best practice that apply across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Canada.

Technical Note: Insight into New Zealand’s Building Regulations.🇳🇿

Understanding New Zealand’s Building Code is essential for every construction project, but compliance doesn’t stop at design and construction.

From fire safety and building services, to durability and energy efficiency, projects need to meet the performance requirements of the Building Code while preparing for a successful handover.

Our latest technical note explains the New Zealand regulatory framework and what builders, contractors and project teams should consider throughout project delivery.
